What To Bring

A commonly asked question that our admissions specialists receive at Royal Life Centers is, “what should I bring when I enter treatment?”. The most important thing that you can bring when you make the decision to begin a life of sobriety is a willingness to succeed and determination. From there, we have a few recommendations for you to consider.

  • Enough comfortable clothing for two weeks
    • laundry facilities are available
  • Shoes appropriate for hiking or exercise
    • sneakers or boots
  • Warm clothing during winter
    • coat, scarves, gloves, etc.
  • Personal hygiene products
    • keep it simple and basic
    • razor or electric razor and shaving cream
  • Driver’s license or picture identification
  • Non-WiFi capable iPod/MP3 or CD player
  • One pillow, comforter/blanket, or comfort item
    • bedding is included at our facilities, so these items are optional
  • Journaling supplies
    • a notebook, pens, pencils, highlighters
  • Any prescribed medications, in the original bottle with prescription information
    • liquid medications must be unopened with original seal intact
  • Nicotine patches or tobacco products
    • cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, pipes, cigarillos, and vape/electronic cigarettes (has to be cleaned out and fluid in an unopened, sealed container)

    What Not To Bring

    To ensure the safety and sobriety of all of our guests, we ask that you do not bring any of the following items with you to our facility:

  • Drugs or alcohol
  • Candles or incense
  • Alarm clocks
  • Laptops or tablets
  • Weapons of any type
  • Pornography
  • Herbal products
  • Vitamins or over-the-counter medications
  • Mouthwash that contains alcohol
  • Nothing of monetary value
    • gaming systems, jewelry, expensive clothing
  • Revealing clothing
  • Clothing with inappropriate images or words
  • Homemade food or drinks
